Johnno’s Tomato Chutney
9 kg chopped tomato
2 kg fine diced onion
2 kg diced apple
2 kg sugar
1 bottle Johnnos Sauce Maker
20 gr mustard powder
30 gr mild curry powder
15 g ground chilli
150 g salt
Method
Peel and coarsely chop tomatoes; combine with remaining ingredients in large heavy-base saucepan.
Stir over heat, without boiling, until sugar dissolves. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 1¼ hours or until mixture thickens.
Spoon hot Chutney into hot sterilised jars; seal while hot.
